@siiinfully liked for a small starter from Daniel
Carina x Daniel
The man smirked to Carina as he sipped his whiskey before placing it down. āNice to meet you. Though, I got to tell you- Iām very unhappily marriedā he stated and sniggered, holding his hand up to show the ring on his finger. āWhat are you doing at a bar so late anyway? Shouldnāt you be anywhere else? You seem too nice to be entertaining a drunk man like meā Daniel pointed out and sniggered more. He sat back into the chair and downed the rest of his drink, raising his eyebrow since Daniel had no respect for his wife anymore, not after everything.

Daniel listened and raised his eyebrow āI can get my driver to take you back if youād like? We can take you back to yours before I go home. I would rather know youāre safe before I leaveā he simply stated and then sniggered at carinaās question. āMhmā¦ I drink for many reasons. My wife being one of them. Whilst sheās out buying some new runway clothes with my money, I sit and spend it too but with alcohol. Win, winā he said simply and scoffed since Daniel really did hate his life. āI promise you, money isnāt everything. I learnt that from a young ageā he added.
Personal driver.
So he was a wealthy and unhappily married man. Which was far more than what she knew about most people she met at the bar. Carina smiled and glanced over at the bartender. "Yeah, I should. My Uber isn't here yet, though, so. I think it's better to have a babysitter than nothing at all. At least you have someone looking out for you when you're at your most vulnerable, assuming you can trust them." Worst case scenario for her was that she would end up calling one of her friends to pick her up or sleep in the back room of the bar. The latter wasn't very ideal but it was either that or risk getting into an Uber car with a sketchy driver. "Is that why you're drinking? Because of your wife?"

Daniel glanced to her and chuckled āwell, Iām not here to creep on anymore. Iām a very unhappily married manā he said and sniggered at the thought of his wife who was most likely sleeping with her boss at this time. Daniel raised his eyebrow at her comment and shook his head āI know youāre trying to help but I donāt need it. I promise. Thank you though, Iām used to going home without a problem. My driver has that all sortedā he said and rolled his eyes. āAll I have to do is text him and heāll pick me up. Tragic, right? Itās like I have a baby sitterā Daniel ranted out before laughing at his own sad joke. āEither way, shouldnāt you be going home soon, itās getting late. Youāre more at risk than meā he pointed out.
āThereās always creeps wherever college students are. Canāt be helped,ā she said with a shrug. āAnd maybe I am. Still, would you need someone to call you a taxi to take you home?ā Carina was used to catering to other peopleās needs: it was all part of her customer service training before she was hired as a part-time masseuse. And sheād heard of horror stories about drunk people leaving clubs and bars and being attacked while they waited for a ride homeā¦or during the ride home. It was why she drank only at home and went to bars for the ambiance and the socializing. She turned back to her notes and marked a few key details that she thought she needed to remember, highlighting the last one before looking up and over at him. āI was offering to help you there, just in case you didnāt catch that,ā Carina said, smiling a little.

Daniel smirked at what she said before nodding and downing more of his whiskey āIām sorry for me tooā he scoffed before listening to carina āstudy? Damn, maybe I am talking to someone far too young.ā He said and cleared his throat, not one to talk to any students since he was far too old to be getting into any student dramas. āYou should be careful, itās not as though this place is safe. Being here the past week, Iāve picked up on a few creeps in the roomā¦ one being in that far right cornerā¦ā Daniel said sniggering. āBut youā¦ you seem far too put together to be talking to someone like Meā he slurred before finishing his drink completely.
āIām very sorry to hear that. Though I did assume you had a problem of some kind if you kept going here at night,ā she admitted. Carina wasnāt turned off by the blatant show of his marital status: it showed her just how far he could go when it came to socializing with women. Sheād noticed him there for the past week or so, and it had piqued her curiosity. āI should, but Iām unwinding after a long week of exams. I hope thatās not a crime.ā The bar was the only one close to campus that had devoted study corners for the students. The rest were more concerned with giving students dark nooks and crannies to make out in, and contrary to her part-time job, she preferred to focus on earning a degree and finding a āproperā career.
